Been working from a M1 Max for about a month now, mostly python and go development with a lot of docker and terraform mixed in. Blown away by this machine. It never seems like I have to close IDEs or browser tabs. Great keyboard and build quality. The MBP has redeemed itself.
I've been using Notion to takes notes recently (was an avid Notability user up until recently). Have found it to be delightful and can use it to take really great notes. Actually makes note-taking enjoyable. Feel like it works great for taking notes around code.
Registered a .codes domain recently. Managed to get my initials. Kind of pricey but lots of options. If you have an unusual first name, you might be able to get your first name.
@esornona doesn't apply to everything but a mantra I often follow when buying tools is, if you lose it, buy a cheaper version of it; if you break it, buy a higher quality version of it.
@rrhoover Maybe work for a company that’s trying to introduce technology to offset climate change. The populist rejection of science is a problem that bothers me; perhaps work on that?
...mostly stopped using social media during the last four years; didn't want to be present on a platform that I felt was enabling the downfall of society. I haven't really changed my thinking but might share an occasional thought here or there.
@mathowie Like a lot of sports, progression is a mind game and healthy lifestyle + physical fitness is key to minimizing impact due to injury. This doesn't come naturally for most skaters and some need help.
