WV AG JB McCuskey has filed a lawsuit against Express Scripts (now Evernorth Health) and related entities, alleging the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) played a central role in the widespread oversupply of opioids to WV, destroying countless lives and leaving our state decimated by a man-made medical crisis.

@xmaswithalisp Anyone more interested in the actual issue than the opinions of aspiring politicians should check out the statement by @drofwv praising the AG’s work.
@xmaswithalisp To recap: your complaint is that the AG doesn’t have a time machine to undo a suit filed before he took office, and that instead of working with the WV disability rights community to solve the problem, he should’ve “gotten out” and left it to Texas and Alaska?
@xmaswithalisp Complaint was filed in 2024. I think you remember there was an election last fall. Within weeks, the new AG met with disability advocates and filed the status report you apparently still haven’t read. If the AG had “gotten out” like you want, do you think that would’ve happened?
@xmaswithalisp Weird statement from a guy whose very handle mocks people with disabilities, but since you’re a lawyer, try reading the filings. Ask the people actually working for disabled kids and not just looking to score political points; they’ll tell you the WVAG made this happen.
Another benefit of @flycrw: when airline websites are down and phone lines jammed for hours, you can drive right to the door, park for free, and get in-person help from a friendly @Delta gate agent! #smalltownftw.
The man who once threatened to have me jailed for disagreeing with him at a city council meeting and who denied our public defender office’s request to have a ramp built at the end of our parking lot because he said we just wanted to have a drive-through crime office.
Great 🧵by @therealjbakers. Lawyers, “trial lawyers,” and “corporate lawyers” are not a monolithic group, and their political views often vary greatly from what is commonly perceived. A lot of unfair criticism of good candidates based on the “overly simplistic view” JB calls out.
@ChangeWVmore (1) Someone sent me this yesterday. I guess it's accurate to call me a trial lawyer as I spend a lot of time in court. But, you're taking the typical overly simplistic view. I used to work for a large firm, mostly corporate. I now represent individual & small businesses.
@WVAGFacts@MikeStuartWV I grew up with Rachel— she and her family are amazing people who deserve better. The saddest part is Mike knows better, knows the risks, and just doesn’t care.
SICK. While claiming to be a friend of law enforcement, @MikeStuartWV is ignoring the pleas of Trooper Maynard's widow to stop using his murder as a campaign ad. For cheap political points, Mike would rather traumatize Maynard's kids and jeopardize the killer's prosecution.
