@TheGamingCynics @InsiderGamingIG The Switch is the prime example of this. Without Nintendo games, it’s likely the only selling point would be that it’s handheld. There isn’t a magic number that suddenly justifies upgrading, it just needs to feel like it was a good investment, and currently, 3 games isn’t it.

If you get subscriptions, no mods, weaker hardware than a high-end PC, etc. the least you’d expect is to know that it’s worth the suffering for good games you couldn’t play anywhere else.

@TheGamingCynics @InsiderGamingIG They aren’t the only thing, but they play a massive role. As it stands, I wouldn’t release a new Xbox (or PS), because it wouldn’t meet any needs that aren’t already being satisfied.

@TheGamingCynics @InsiderGamingIG That’s not proving the PS6 will flop, that’s just proving most of the sentiment around it isn’t positive. The same way saying previous consoles sold well doesn’t prove people want the PS6 now. If I was trying to say it would flop, I would’ve said so.

Looking at the past 6-12 years, I wouldn’t blame anyone if they regretted buying an Xbox, lol. Jokes aside, I expect a number of them do. Could you give me some reasons why people would want an Xbox (X/S or Helix)?

@TheCassiniGames I don’t think it’s particularly crazy, it just means there’s high quality textures in the game. It doesn’t communicate any gameplay functionality to me in a way that makes me more or less excited for the game. Is there something I’m missing here?

I’ll tell you one reason why I (and many others this gen) don’t own a Series X/S: it’s because most of the few games they have suck, and I don’t need an Xbox to play them. Nobody needs a new Xbox either.

Anyone who wants to get into gaming might as well buy a PC because it has all the games, mods, your beloved 4K 60, and more. More proof that a PS6 is unnecessary.

If people want Sony games and you’re offering them Sony hardware [that will suffer the same problems because it doesn’t solve that problem either] instead, why would people buy it? It’s not what they want.
