I'm proud beyond words of my student. I am also so incredibly thankful to @LEARNAfg for the opportunity to have these fun conversations with such amazing and gifted students. I pray the world fights for people like her to have the chance to acheive their dreams.
Our English conversation classes not only help students speak English fluently, but also provide a space for building connections, increasing motivation, and learning from each other.
Let's hear from one of our students.
“If we change the world for girls, honestly, girls will change the world for us.” – @ZiauddinY, Malala’s father and our co-founder.
On this Father’s Day, honour the fathers, grandfathers, mentors and loved ones who believe in the power of girls. ➡️ Donate to keep girls learning: https://t.co/2F36ALADla
So sick of waking up to headlines about women and girls being raped, murdered, or brutalized. No one should have to live in fear simply because of their gender. We need accountability, justice, and meaningful action not just outrage for a day. Enough!!!
15-year-old Alishba stopped at nothing to fight for her right.
When she saw girls in her community in Pakistan being told they didn’t belong in certain spaces, she pushed back against those norms and chose to keep studying.
Today, she is not only pursuing her own education but through our partner Bedari, she is also advocating for equality for all young women — proving that when girls learn, they lead and communities thrive. 🩷
@ZiauddinY@Malala, I am thinking of using stand up comedy as a tool to advocate for human rights. I wanted to ask you for permission to wear a @MalalaFund shirt while I perform.
Mahwa’s voice cuts through the noise: “Afghan youth deserve more than empty promises they deserve real opportunities and a future.”
We’re proud to share her powerful article, written by Mahwa, a 16-year-old student at LEARN.

🇹🇿 Meet the girls and grassroots organisations making an impact in Tanzania.
High rates of early marriage, early motherhood and gender-based violence prevent girls in Tanzania from completing 12 years of education. That’s why, Malala Fund’s partners in the country focus on…
🔹Advocating for policies to reduce child marriage and other forms of gender-based violence
🔹Implementation of policies that enable young mothers to return to school
🔹Supporting girls from marginalised, rural communities to access education

It brings us so much joy to see girls learning, dreaming — and graduating — with the support of organisations like @LEARNAfg.
Malala Fund has supported LEARN AFGHAN for five years, helping girls continue to learn despite the Taliban’s gender apartheid.
I'm so honored to be doing this work. I'm so proud of Zala and I'm so thankful for the chance to help students become teachers and further spread education. Zala is an amazing student and is becoming a phenomenal teacher. I can't wait to see her potential continue to shine.
