One election candidate is referring to NGO funding as a "luxury idea" - I suspect people who rely on voluntary hospitals, disability services, public housing etc would not agree.

People are being misled by the Independent Ireland grouping.

They claim €6.2 billion is wasted on "NGOs" but that is going to voluntary hospitals, schools, universities, disability services and housing associations that just happen to be charities.

Is that all "waste"?
