@Almost_August if hes coming along with a 1st round pick....maybe. Ana with FV on ice at 5v5 32%gf - 40%xgf. Without 49%gf - 52%xgf. Goodrow territory.
@Aklein351@alwaysdominat@shaynagoldman_ didnt mean to seem like i was picking on you, sorry. I always knew he was more valuable to NYR (even if they didnt know it) than in a trade. At the time of the trade Borgen was pending 28 yr old UFA with a 32%gf and 40%xgf. Kakko asked out because PL sat him for no reason.
@Aklein351@alwaysdominat@shaynagoldman_ Useful $4.5 cap hit 40-50 point guy only receiving 12-13 minutes a night with minimal PP time all while being on ice for a lot more goals for than against at 5v5. Borgen couldve been gotten with a 6th rnd pick at that moment.
@BillTouspille@DaveyUpper Im wondering if Ana is delaying to up NYR offer or find a trade partner for STL 11th overall for someone better than Schneider.
@Its_Natural_@NYRLouie Smits is more likely, Carels will probably go to NCAA. But either way, im more concerned with who will be the better player over time than immediate availability.
@NYRLouie types of players Drury should be taking chances on. Shown they can score at a decent rate at 5v5, but overall point totals depressed because of blocked from PP and top 6.
@PhilKocher@BlueshirtBanter I would simply not sign McCarron for 3 reasons but the NMC would be the distant 3rd reason behind the term and then the cap hit.
@vzmercogliano In the past 9 drafts Picks 21-32 have rendered about 3 or 4 top 6 forwards and maybe 2 top 4 def. But those picked have had value (see Panarin trade) 1 to 2 years post draft. What should the plan be with pick #26 this year?
