@GatorDave_GB you hearing any truth to the rumor that Sumrall was asked by admin to tone things down with language and such? In one sense it would explain things slightly, in another, Todd Golden is pretty animated and he seems to get away with it with admin.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@CoachJonSumrall let’s go get @brandonspikes55 back on the sideline for @GatorsFB. Give that man some freedom to put some toughness and grit back on that side of the ball. Gator through and through means more than some give it credit for.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@AllKindsWeather He said it himself winners win, he is not a winner.

If he proves he’s too scared to make major coaching staff changes and doesn’t utilize the portal heavily this offseason, he’s completely cooked

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

Good coaches don’t let their team get absolutely dominated like this two weeks in a row. Coach is right about one thing, winners win. However, it does not appear he is a winner.

[T @tdgator9]

“Let’s get Danny W and Urban to say they really like the new guy so people don’t get mad at Scott and Gary again, they’ll fall for it.”

You see the gig?

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

Have to really start worrying about losing guys like Dallas Wilson who has clearly been underutilized this year.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@CharlieOverturf Difference is Saban was a proven successful HC in the SEC.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@GatorDave_GB Defense is horrible and saddest part is we hired a Defensive HC this offseason. Should have at least been marginally better on that side of the ball this year. The offense is clearly one dimensional and physical defensive fronts will completely shut it down.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@AllKindsWeather Obviously a CFP birth is waaaayyyyy out of grasp for this Gator team. Sumrall better get it right or he’ll get run out of town by end of next year and honestly if he can’t fix this defense that’s exactly what needs to happen.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@SamBassett81 @AllKindsWeather @SamBassett81 yes I’m aware he’s still coaching Tulane but point is the most important thing should be to focus on the Gators. Tulane ain’t paying him $7.45 million we are. The NCAA really has to fix the calendar. Signing day is tomorrow and he’s still coaching Tulane.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@TateCasey84 Oh hiring coaches is definitely a crapshoot. Hopefully we got this one right. I’ll root for him to succeed but I’ll also be critical if the team struggles. Think he’ll still wanna be here if UK calls and offers him what they were paying Stoops to return to his Alma Mater?

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@GatorsSean Definitely agree with that but look at Dillingham at ASU and some of these other guys at their Alma Mater that are succeeding. I wouldn’t be shocked if he jumped ship on us is all I’m saying.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@DKThompson @DKThompson now that the dust has settled a bit, care to share what this was about and what happened?

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

Coaching carousel is really about to get crazy when Kentucky comes and poaches UF’s newly hired guy who is an Alum of their school and coached there in the past.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@TateCasey84 Again the survey was designed to skew the answers because based off the info provided the choices were obvious. Just not a huge fan of taking stuff out of context that’s all. I sure hope Sumrall is the DUDE but man he just doesn’t feel like a UF fit to me.

[Ryan Overturf @ryanoverturf]

@FAMOGANG365 Highly doubt he’ll be their coach when we play them next year. But at least he’s not our coach. Guess things could always be worse.
