Its so funny to me how often a new Lin Manuel Miranda project gets announced and every cries and moans cause they hate him and then it comes out and it's fucking fantastic as usual. I saw SO many tweets bad mouthing his Warriors musical, and now it's out and getting rave reviews.
listening to the warriors concept album and lin manuel miranda might’ve done it yet again babes sorry to his haters but he’s really good at his job idk
Dreaming of a Broadway season with Lin Manuel-Miranda's The Warriors musical stage adaptation and Janelle Monae's Metropolis stage adaptation. Somewhere in the multiverse that is happening and I'm jealous of that version of me that gets to see it.
I know Twitter is broken because Lin Manuel-Miranda released a new musical today and it isn't trending for me. As if I'm going to care about anything else for a while.
So lucky to have seen this show and Stereophonic last spring before they both closed. Highly recommend seeing either if you have a chance. Just a brilliant score and story.

@keithedwards@DrJillStein I will never vote for another Green Party local candidate again. Have never voted for them in an executive election because that would be wasting my vote but I was stupid enough to do so locally in the past. Never again. Traitors.
@AnikaChapin @redprotist Yea I can see that. But these were not extraordinary people right? Only their love was, so maybe it was the little things he admired most. Isn't there a line about how he falls in love with the way she writes a grocery list?
@AnikaChapin @redprotist Maybe it is just an attempt at a simple affirmation that this is a story about regular people with regular lives. Also cried so hard because of the parallels to my grandmother's dementia in this musical. Really enjoyed it.
Was introduced to Gavin Creel in She Loves Me then Waitress and have always wanted to see him in person. What a talented person but from the testimonials today it seems his kindness overshadowed his abundance of talent.
@nkjemisin This is my reminder to finish the last book. I saved it for future me to savor like the last in a batch of cookies. But now I probably should just restart the series.
Unfortunately, we also saw Twelfth Night which is my favorite Shakespeare story to read but have never seen a production of it. This one was not my favorite. Some of the gender blind casting choices made the show have some probably unintentional extremely homophobic scenes.
During our weekend trip to Stratford we saw La Cage Au Folles which was so much fun. Can't believe I've never seen a production of this before. Highly recommend.
We went back to @stratfest over the weekend and were able to tour the props and costume warehouse. So cool to see how extensive their backlog of materials are and how they were organized. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had there.
