Pumped to the middle of the fucking range. Thats where they get you. Its a no trade zone for me unless fomc gives better direction for downside. For upside I am still wary of HTF sellers as they probably do not care about macro
Ok so the news is "good". I don't wanna stand in front of this train - i think 72k is in play. Going to see what Pow says in 5 hrs. Probably something about being 'data driven' and 'data starting to look promising' but you never know
Striking similarity in sentiment and RSI showing even more significant divergence. CT general sentiment is full of bulls that are worried and overexposed. Soon it will be time to go to the lower TF and sell every pump. RIP my sleep
if there's a dump from tonight's news, i would like to think the narrative for the next rally is "news is priced in, time to rally!". and while it will look obvious in hindsight, it does not look obvious if you're in an underwater long. excellent spot to reload shorts
Just speculating on the latest spot cvd twapooor but they dont seem like the kind of seller that backs off with the slightest bid response. Slow grind down leading up to headline news will probably chop up the bulls both financially and psychologically. One can dream
Twap sell from hell. Bounce may need some time if it does happen so instead of covering partially like a rational trader I think I'll just sit there and sweat through core cpi and fomc. 42k, 30k and maybe 20k if I have the top nailed here.
OTOH kissing 71k monthly open by the weekend still gives enough time (2 weeks) to reject and produce a red month.. only argument against is strength in spx and etf inflows leading to more upside. But if neither actually matters at range highs then yes short is the way to go?
still early days to speculate on this but i'm wondering if we see this kind of pa again. bears: V reversal into doom. bulls: shoot to 80-100k. result: same as last year?
were the 66k sellers real or just "hedge 10 days before eom opex fomc" assholes. and the 64k sellers were the same for cpi? if so then range highs are not out of the question. i hope they are otherwise why would we get this squeeze from a normal cpi number
Haven't given up on the dead cat idea but have given up on holding a long. Market feels like it wants to liq some longs. I think sellers will reach exhaustion soon. We've been in this area for too long and they tried so hard. Should really be at 52k threatening 45k rn
Can't expect much development in Pa since people are positioning for CPI presumably. The real clues usually come after the number comes out even if the number doesn't really matter that much. Bunch of clowns
Not too keen on trading slow bleed thesis as it also tends to run you over and give a false sense of security anyway. But entering after a brutal stop run and on optimistic 80-100k targets - that I can get behind
Many sold after the weekly close. I would agree we are on the way down but not before a spectacular bounce after defending 61500 so many times. It would require a slow bleed or momentum from much higher, say 68-70k.
Don't seem to be many on CT stroking themselves as btc rallies 4.5% off weekend lows and threatening to break the massive sell wall at 63k. Pattern traders on daily TF must be over the moon. 70k might be in play. Not too sure CPI will matter much
