@lyonardo Changing Kawahara to his sister instead of someone he had done work for in the past was possibly the greatest sin of an adaptation full of dumb ideas and needlessly complicated changes. The book has definitely made me hate the show much more, despite some good lines and acting.

@lyonardo Seeing how much of the melodrama bullshit in the first season was added in by the showrunner was a huge disappointment. I enjoyed the much more straightforward plot of the book. The addition of Falconer as a character directly related to Kovacs was fucking stupid.

@lyonardo Thought about this conversation as I'm finishing up finally reading Altered Carbon. I wouldn't say it's an amazing book, but the first season could have benefited from being more of an action neo-noir hardboiled detective story like the book was.

Jesus, Midjourney v4 sucks. Everything looks like a bad CG render from 10 years ago. You can't do anything usefully artistic with it. All the while, they do more and more to inhibit the language you can use to avoid any picture more interesting than some posing anime girl.
