People are complaining about games having too many strong female characters all of a sudden, when chess has literally been doing that for 1,500 years. Literally the strongest piece on the board. 1,500 years ago.
@Eclipse_cAnon "Functions" Yeah OK, sure...as if even moving the stick slightly the wrong way doesn't fling you off to your doom half the time. At least in Sonic 06 I was mostly able to AVOID the really bad glitches.
Can I just say this game is bad, yeah, but it's not that bad. The Sonic game I really hated playing, at least among the main series, was Sonic Heroes. Yes, Sonic Heroes is worse than Sonic 06. Cry about it.
I played Sonic 06 with ZERO knowledge of the online discourse. In fact I was hyped as Hell.
Nothing can convince me the game isn't an ugly fucking travesty on just about every level. My first major disappointment in life. Just awful.
06 revisionism makes me cringe.
@BerryKitty06 My problem is that it's poorly built up, and Elise crying and the kiss come out of nowhere because they feel unearned up to that point in the story. It's easy to point at human-animal relationship or corpse kissing. Both have been done in fiction before. Neither is the problem.
@KwamzTheFirst My criticism of the relationship is that it's poorly built up. They only share one or two scenes that could be thought of as intimate and we're expected to believe Elise should cry when she thinks Sonic is dead. The kiss is only bad because there's no payoff to it.
@TheJoshMan07 I feel your pain. But to get my controversial opinion out there right away...Sonic Heroes is the worst Sonic game. 0.5 out of 10. I hate it, only redeeming factor is the first two to four stages because the terrible controls don't absolutely ruin them.
