This was not a QB sneak tendency.

It was a 70 play streak that predated ChatGPT.

After the 2025 AFC Championship, a Chiefs player said Kansas City knew Buffalo was going left and called it a 10-for-10 tendency.

The actual number was 70.

I watched and manually tagged every one.

Buffalo had run 70 consecutive QB sneaks to the left, going back to midseason 2022.

With Josh Allen in the game and no plays excluded, Buffalo had converted 56 of 63 left sneaks:

88.9% success rate
+0.67 EPA/play
And even the failures barely mattered.

On 6 of the 7 failed attempts, Buffalo simply ran another sneak on the next play and converted.

That made the series success rate 62 of 63:

98.4%.

Then, in the one game Kansas City had to stop it, the play failed 4 times in 6 attempts.

Based on Buffalo’s pregame success rate, that was roughly a 1-in-500 outcome.

Credit the Chiefs. They had an incredible plan and executed it.

But Buffalo was not forcing a bad play.

They were leaning on a short yardage operation that had basically turned 1 yard into a formality.
