New Series of Posts: There's a group going around trying to tell people about God the Mother.
Below is a series of posts that look at their history, and then how they use three passages from the Bible to make their point/s.

@esaumccaulley Thanks again - that's helpful, and I appreciate the follow up. I'll go have a look at those pages, and those references. Grace and peace to you!
New Post:
Simon of Cyrene probably wasn't Black African (and that's Ok) https://t.co/6gAUAgYk6S

With a h/t to @esaumccaulley- very encouraged by you and your work, even if this is a slight pushback on just one element of #ReadingWhileBlack
@esaumccaulley I just read the chapter quickly again & couldn't see segregation laws/Jim Crow linkages that you mentioned in your replies here - those weren't additions in a later edition were they? But I'll look again later tonight.
God bless you brother & thanks again for the gracious reply
@esaumccaulley (2) no explicit mention of that, or Simon as Jewish, & coupled with ch. title (Black and Proud) and subheading (Black Presence at the beginning of Christianity) and the line "We are at the cross" (p. 112)... the impression for me was of him being considered Black.
@lllogannnnn Not sure how this came up in my feed but glad it did. I've struggled with the idea of Xians as exiles but haven't come across others who might also hold that opinion!

@nigelfortescue We've done these two with our ministry apprentices the last two years. The first was excellent. The second also good:
1. A Praying Life - Paul E. Miller
2. Just Ask - JD Greear.
