@theincorporeal2 I didn't say it was separate, just that it, (the part), is not the whole, (awareness). I'm not sure that passivity or choice are configurations of awareness, but perhaps mediums through which awareness gets filtered through. Localized awareness.
@theincorporeal2 Awareness is. Simply put. Everything arises in awareness— including passivity. Even your own choices and distinctions arise in awareness. Larger awareness arises in awareness. But what arises in awareness is not awareness itself.

Discernment does arise in awareness alone, because your awareness is the only source from which to draw information from.
@theincorporeal2 But what you're calling incorporealism is just awareness itself. Awareness is already amorphous. There is no middle object necessary to filter awareness through for discernment.
