No it’s called proper representation…an LGBTQ character should and will be played by and LGBTQ actor. A POC character should and will be played by a POC actor. At least by our casting call standards the industry can certainly work on it. Thanks for your input tho. We are huge on supporting proper representation. We had to reopen MANY casting calls before finding the right actor who properly represents the characters story. We had a casting call open for almost a year to properly cast for a gay Asian male for one of our characters. Even tho it took long we still kept the call going. Because it’s important. Proper casting isn’t illegal.
