@RSpoormaker@IFTVMarco By the way I’ve been “discovering” the game longer than you’ve been alive. I was even at the World Cup game in Germany in 2006 when the Netherlands and Portugal graced us all with 4 red cards and like 15 yellows.
@RSpoormaker@IFTVMarco An odd response to your original bitch fest over the materials used to build our stadiums, but it’s clear you want do nothing but bitch bitch bitch about America.
@realpatriotsofx@SavianoAlan@stoolpresidente Soccer has the most players in the top 10 highest earning professional athetes in the world, including number one who earned double of what the highest earning NBA star made.
@xhatne@SavianoAlan@stoolpresidente Ding, ding, ding. It’s been obvious for decades and was clear last night that the best players have something US players lack: first touch control and the ability to work the ball in tight spaces. You learn that by constantly playing on a beach or in a park. US kids don’t do that
@SavianoAlan@stoolpresidente The most popular youth sport in a nation of 300 million people and despite massive investment in its development program since 1994 the US has yet to produce a single world class player. Ever. Not one. But keep whining that it’s because our best athletes choose other sports.
@SavianoAlan@stoolpresidente How quickly the pathetic excuse-making starts. Soccer is the most popular youth sport in the US, and any top player can make millions and millions (billions even) playing professionally. Not sure why you think an American soccer player is forced to play in the MLS.
@vzmercogliano Same story as it’s always been. USA first touch control is not in the same league as the top international players. They look slow because they can’t control the ball in tight spaces.
@rafaelshimunov Regardless of your views, Poetica’s post was abhorrent, hateful and disgusting. Way over the line. If you need to discover your moral compass, imagine a cafe directing this same tone toward a politician just because he supports LGBTQ rights. And no, there is no difference.
@NYCMayor the traffic getting to JFK is a disgrace, a massive failure at every level. It should never, ever take 2.5 hours to get to a city’s main airport. Why does NYC insist on throwing billions at this travesty? And when on earth is this construction going to be complete?
@JFKairport remains a complete disaster. There is so much traffic getting there, regardless of the day or time of day, it is virtually inaccessible. Then it’s a sprawling disjointed mess. Throwing billions into this travesty was a massive failure at every level.
