Q. Park Jihoon’s success with The King’s Warden was a major factor behind the attention the drama received. How did you feel seeing its box office numbers rise while filming?

Jiho: During filming, the audience numbers for The King’s Warden kept climbing. Toward the latter half, the actors would even go around saying, “Jihoon, thank you.” (laughs) But Jihoon would always modestly reply, “No, no.” I really felt that his presence played a huge role in making viewers decide, from episode one, “I should watch this drama.” I was truly grateful. It was a blessing not only for Jihoon personally, but also for everyone who worked on the drama. I carry that gratitude in my heart as well.

Q. Do you hope for a second season?

Lim Jiho: I really hope it happens, and if it does, I’ll run there immediately. Though I imagine it would only be possible after Jihoon returns from serving in the Marine Corps. But by then, I wonder if they’ll still call me. I’ll be in my thirties, so I worry about still playing a soldier. Until then, I guess I’ll have to focus on detoxing and slowing down aging. (laughs) It was such a happy experience for me that if they ask, I’ll definitely do it.

One of my fav stories from this ep was finding out that changmin bought bada’s CD and listened to her songs on purpose just so he could get close to ryeowook and befriend with him. The way changmin made an effort to learn about the things ryeowook liked was so sweet🥹
