@ryanflorence@solid_js The time it takes to debug and fix this stuff is expensive too. Re: the replies about the community/ecosystem not being there, I've found plenty of very useful resources for solid.js that I've been very happy with. Kobalte, shadcn-solid, and others, have all worked well for me.
@ryanflorence I've been using @solid_js with Start recently and really liking it. Component/tree re-renders have been the biggest pain point for me with react. I'm super tired of components or even full trees re-rendering way too many times.
@kenwheeler Heck yeah I totally agree. I'm curious though ... I've only ever looked into that one other time, and I found train to be not just the slower option (compared to flying), but it cost about as much, which I thought was a bummer. Did you find it to be more reasonable?
@jjenzz@kenwheeler I wish I could identify what the original problem they were trying to solve with them was (defined in reasonably simple terms). Given the complexity to put them to real world use, I just can't help but wonder if maybe it was a problem that maybe didn't really need solved?
@tannerlinsley I have a little experience with this. I work for/with an archery shop that was using Square and got "randomly" shut down with no justification.
@jcreamer898 I got a Husky adjustable height work table from Home Depot. Half the price (or less) than standing desks, and probably more durable. Not electric at all, only has a hand crank, but personally I prefer that, because I've read quite a bit about the motors failing on a lot of ...
