@LndsPatterson Do yo prefer drafting for need or best player available. That should tell you everything you need to know about roster construction philosophy. Drafting for need means only considering the short term- focus on job security. Drafting bpa means doing what’s best for the org.
@JimM04628145@ChrisFeightner@CharlieG__ I asked grok for an estimated breakdown if they indeed do break even. In looking at the chart you provided I’d be pissed to be a cubs fan and I wish the reds spent like the dbacks. I’m not dismissing your comment, I just wish the economics of the league were different
@JimM04628145@ChrisFeightner@CharlieG__ Yes that exactly proves the point. Every team but the Mets spend 150-200 million on things other than major league payroll. That’s the cost of doing business. The problem is the difference in revenues
@JimM04628145@ChrisFeightner@CharlieG__ They don’t pocket the money. There are more expenses than just major league player payroll. They have to pay minor leaguers, coaches, front office staff… I believe they do break even. The problem is revenue sharing
@CharlieG__ Why aren’t you a talk about the refs guy? They’re objectively horrible across the league. I wish more media would talk about it. It’s the only thing that unites the country!
