Congratulations to Rylie Combs (@_ryliecombs) for signing her first professional contract and welcome to Inspired XI! Rylie joins Eskilstuna United (@eskilstunaunited) in Sweden on a contract through the end of the 2025 season. The staff at Eskilstuna are excited to have Rylie’s toughness, strong defending and positive personality as they build toward a successful season.

Rylie Combs is a dominant center back from O’Fallon, Missouri, United States. She played four seasons of college soccer at Mississippi State University, where she started 70 of 77 matches, amassing nearly 6,000 minutes of game time while also contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.

In 2024, she was recognized as an All-American and the SEC Defender of the Year, anchoring a backline that was the best in the SEC and perhaps the best in Mississippi State’s history. Rylie helped lead the team to their longest-ever win streak (14) and a perfect 10-0 record in conference. Overall, she helped the team keep clean sheets in 11 of their 22 matches.

Rylie is a versatile defender that can play anywhere across the back line in a back four or a back three. Stylistically, she is a blend of aggressive, no-nonsense defender and ball-playing center back.

Rylie earned a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Mississippi State. She loves to read books, to cook and to go on walks with her dog, Ollie. She is the only redhead in her immediate family!
