Yes. But 2 things going on:

(1) some folks are not defining interests correctly at all, imagining that US and Israel have identical vulnerabilities when it comes to protecting those interests; and

(2) there’s a portion of the Right that thinks everything would be fantastic in the Muslim world if not for the Jews, and wants nothing more than to see Israel destroyed, and they cannot be honest about it.

Vance has no personality, he just mimics popular figures depending on the topic context. Textbook case of chameleon-like identity disturbance.

I can accept a certain amount of cretinousness and lowbrow aesthetics with my politics, if it’s going to deliver good policy outcomes. I’m even willing to give the benefit of the doubt on pretty much 100% of domestic issues.

But when foreign policy decisions are bad, I’m going to speak up.

And when the comms rollout targets Trump-voting Jews and is based on “this is good for America, not Israel” or “sometimes our interests diverge,” it’s a transparent attempt to paint criticism of the MOU to as a loyalty test—not just to Trump, but to America itself.

It’s the worst kind of demagoguery, and the Vice President deserves all the blame for it.

They could’ve tried to make this case in many other ways, but it’s significant that they didn’t. One must be blind, by this point, not to see the consonance between the Vance and Carlson political projects. Sorry, not sorry.

Whenever you see these absurd things being claimed by pink haired academic types, it’s obvious how utterly shallow this narrative is. “Only used liturgically” is something that, in the case of Jews, is not a small thing. The phrase is meant to suggest irrelevance to use in daily life—but for Jews who are commanded to study and read Torah in Hebrew at least every week, all of the people could understand it. We are, even now, only a few generations from a religiously observant person; at any time in the last 2000 years until about 100 years ago, nearly every Jew in any country would’ve understood Hebrew. The people responsible for destroying that long legacy are the pink-haired secularists of their day. That’s not to say that the revival of Hebrew in the modern era was not miraculous—and took a heroic human effort. But it’s a far more complex discussion than this bullshit. I’d say that this is the dumbest cope ever from Palestinians and their supporters, but they have so much dump cope.

@RonDeSantis Governor my concern was specifically about UF, the data I found suggests it's only about 80% native Floridian admits. And in any case, even UF legacy parents of HS honor students have the perception it's become too exclusive and have concerns. Just a heads up!
