@5NEWS The house bill is stupid. They need to let states make their own decision. It’s not a one size fits all situation because everyone’s sunrise and sunset are different.
@MattWalshBlog Had we let them go, five years from now when they started a nuclear war, you would then say, “We had nearly 50 years to stop Iran from ever having nuclear capabilities.”
@GovPressOffice So you say Trump’s war to take nukes from Iran is costing him $1.35, but Ted’s price is still $2.30 cheaper per gallon than my gas here in CA.
@Giants__Update Why are the Giants so intent on letting this guy close games? He is not a closer! How many times and how many ways does he need to prove that?
@ebraddock8@TalkinBaseball_ Since everyone is so concerned with Rule 5.09(a)(11) let’s see what is says: “A batter-runner is out when running outside the three-foot lane and in doing so interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base.” No interference = no out. That’s the rule.
@JonHeyman There’s no train of logic here. You’re saying the regular season is hurt by pitchers pitching in the WBC, but the WBC would be helped by pitchers pitching during the regular season???
@MooneyOwnsYou@Miggysbat It’s more games for your star players which means more chances for them to get hurt. The injuries that won’t happen to the guys that aren’t playing makes 0 sense. Obviously plays won’t get hurt when they’re not playing. They’ll play the normal 162 with no extra games.
@MooneyOwnsYou@Miggysbat You can't prevent injuries from taking place during the regular course of playing a season of baseball. You can prevent players from getting injured playing in a mid-season tournament by not having an mid-season tournament.
@MooneyOwnsYou@Miggysbat They also don't own teams for the idea of "grow the sport, grow the revenue." No owner wants to pay his players top dollar only to see them ride the bench because they got hurt in a tourney that earns him $0 but may possibly grow the sport theoretically sometime in the future.
@Miggysbat Can you imagine the brouhaha when someone comes home from the WBC needing Tommy John surgery and can't play in the playoffs? It's all fun and games until top tier talent sits in the dugout for the playoffs! That's why I can't see it happening.
