In fact what could've inspired the scene was the 1951 Sakuragicho tragedy when 106 people died trapped in this exact train. I'm still researching for the third part of my ongoing series about trains in monster movies and you can learn a lot of new things about them.

I learned about something that gives further context for the train scene in Minus One. This is 63 series, produced in wartime conditions when safety wasn't a priority. It was a deadly trap with automatic doors almost impossible to open by the passengers and narrow windows.
