🐈‍⬛ honestly, that’s always been the kind of image i wanted us to have as artists. because every artist has what you’d call their roots. you need to have that foundation. you have to keep improving while never losing what makes you you, and that’s already really difficult. but if what defines an artist ends up being a music genre, i think it becomes several times, even tens of times harder. every next step becomes difficult.

🐈‍⬛ that’s why i really like the fact that, whether it’s engenes or the general public… even when we try a completely new genre, come up with new ideas, or present things in a different way, if you compare this album to the last one, the music genres are so different that you’d almost wonder, ‘did the same artist really release both of these albums?’ but even then, people rarely say, ‘enhypen has changed so much.’ ‘this isn’t the enhypen i knew.’ or, ‘this doesn’t feel like enhypen’s color anymore.’ you hardly hear comments like that.

🐈 so… the reason i actually went live today is…the t-shirt i wore yesterday seemed to make some people uncomfortable, and i genuinely didn’t know. i thought it was just a regular t-shirt, but apparently it’s related to a movie that many people in Kazakhstan find very offensive. i heard it’s a black comedy that portrays them in a bad way. yes, the t-shirt shirt with holes in it. i didn’t know about it yesterday, but after seeing that some people were uncomfortable because of it, i’d like to apologize first. i threw the shirt away immediately. even if i didn’t know, if it made people uncomfortable, it’s still my mistake, so i’m sorry. i got rid of the shirt right away.
🐈 actually, i wanted to apologize first thing this morning, before the concert. but when i checked the time in Kazakhstan, it was still the middle of the night. so i thought it’d be better to go live when people there would actually be awake to see it. i think it’s around 8 or 9 a.m. there now. so as soon as i got back, i started this live. i’m sorry. i’m sincerely sorry, and i’ll reflect on this.

Everyone, there’s something I really feel I need to say, and honestly, this is the reason I started this live. I don’t think this is something we can just ignore and move past, especially since Weverse translations are available now.

I know there are a lot of people who really loved our past, and I understand that. There are many people who still love how we used to be. But there also seem to be many people who continue to deny the current ENHYPEN or refuse to accept who we are now.

Since we hadn’t clearly addressed this before, some people have been saying that we never gave a proper statement, and they’ve continued bringing up the number of members.

Of course, I understand the feelings of those who loved ENHYPEN before. But now… ENHYPEN is six members, everyone. ENHYPEN is six members.

I understand why some people still do things like certain fan chants at concerts because we hadn’t clearly said anything until now. I understand that. But it’s really not nice to see ENGENEs fighting among themselves because of this.

To be completely honest, it also disrupts our performances. It really does.

Now that I’ve clearly said this today, I think anyone who truly likes ENHYPEN and supports us will know how they should act going forward.

I’m going to be very clear because I don’t want to speak vaguely anymore. When people keep saying things like ‘ENHYPEN is seven,’ all it does is cause fights within our fandom.

No one wants ENGENEs to fight each other. The company doesn’t want that. ENGENEs don’t want that. And most importantly, the six of us don’t want that.

So from now on, I personally won’t consider people who continue to stir up these kinds of conflicts to be fans.

Honestly, this is exactly why I started this live.

Like I said earlier, it’s honestly very distracting during concerts. People spend a lot of money and time to come see us. Concerts are expensive, and it’s unfair to those fans as well.
