They don’t tell you this but your walk with Jesus will be messy. You will break down, you will cry, you will get angry, you will be frustrated, you will deal with doubt, you will deal with unbelief, you’re gonna mess up, you’re gonna do things you later regret. But through all this Christ will not leave you, and you will be sanctified through your trials. So if you were expecting a sunshine and rainbows walk with Jesus you are sorely mistaken. The storms will still come, but you’ll have God with you every step of the way, and your joy will be full when you come to terms with the fact that this is sufficient.
Food is expensive but you are still eating, gas keeps on rising but you have fuel in your tank, housing is getting unaffordable but you have a roof over your head, unemployment is high but you bring home a paycheck.
You aren't sustaining yourself, God is. Give thanks.
God is telling you this Sunday
My child, there is nothing to worry about. I am taking care of everything. I am more powerful than any problem you are facing. I am stronger than any sickness, depression, addiction, or evil spirit. I am stronger than anything the enemy sends your way. I will fight your battles for you. I can heal and cure any sickness. I can change your financial situation. I have beautiful plans for you and your family. I want you to have peace of mind, knowing I’ve got your back. Everything will be okay. I will never give you a challenge you cannot handle. I will never let you down.
HOW TO DRAW CLOSER TO GOD IN FEBRUARY
- Start the day remembering you don't have to do it alone.
- Talk to God the way you would talk to someone you trust, honest and unfiltered.
- Spend a few quiet minutes with God before the day gets loud.
- Read scripture without trying to "learn something." Just notice what stays with you.
- Let go of the pressure to feel spiritual all the time. Showing up is enough.
- Invite God into the normal parts of your day, not just the serious ones.
- Pay attention to what settles your spirit—peace is often how God gets your attention.
- Rest without explaining yourself. You don't have to earn it.
- Tell God what you're tired of carrying. He already knows.
- End the day by placing everything back in His hands, even the things that didn't make sense.
