Back in 2020 when @brian_armstrong published his blog post announcing "Coinbase is a mission focused company", I cheered him on.

I believed him when he wrote: "Coinbase’s mission is to create an open financial system for the world. This means we want to use cryptocurrency to bring economic freedom to people all over the world."

And while I acknowledge @coinbase @iampaulgrewal @standwithcrypto have done commendable work on the legal and legislative side, far too little has been done on the technology front.

For crypto to win, I believe we need to offer the best technology, and that includes the best infrastructure and best user experience. But all these years later, we've largely failed. Instead of creating something revolutionary and new, we've taken the old financial system, slapped some blockchain on it, and called it innovation.

It’s not enough to fight legal battles or publish mission statements. If we truly believe in economic freedom and decentralization, we need to build products that embody those values, and companies like Coinbase must be able to recognize and support those products, rather than just the next Fartcoin.

I’m still rooting for Coinbase. I still want to believe in the mission. But we need leadership that prioritizes product and protocol innovation just as much as regulation and lobbying.

This is why I'm calling on @brian_armstrong @emilimc @0xRishi to finally list XEC. I firmly believe the @eCash project is one of the few in crypto truly advancing the space with real technological breakthroughs. This isn’t just another Layer 1 spun up overnight. XEC is a legitimate fork of Bitcoin, with deep roots and serious engineering behind it.

Please take action. Do the work. I’m confident the team at @bitcoin_abc would be happy to assist with integration so your customers can finally experience crypto done right.
