@Blacky1van how do you expect to convince people that this isnt a wish fulfillment story by using events from an alternate timeline that in practice dont take anything from rudeus? ๐ญ
@TraceJohny@KizzityKaito dont you think that the consequences were only so catastrophic because the author intended to reverse them immediately afterwards? rudeus could have recovered and learn after suffering from his choices, but i dont think thats the kind of story this is
@TraceJohny@KizzityKaito I dont want anything, i just think it was a cowardly narrative choice to use that alternate timeline to show hitogami as a villain without significantly affecting the things rudeus achieved
@TraceJohny@KizzityKaito after rudy cheating on sylphy, resulting in him having two wives, i already got the impression that nothing would happen in the story to significantly affect the rewarding relationships he had built
this taking place in an alternate route reinforces that impression for me
@TraceJohny@KizzityKaito because it depicts absurdly tragic and shocking events, yet happen to this alternate version of rudy who dies in the same episode, whereas the one who continues the story keeps everything exactly as it was before all of this, except he now possesses new information that helps him
@TraceJohny@KizzityKaito after tweet i saw people saying that the situation was to let him discover that hitogami is his enemy, but roxys death would have been enough for that
it seems even more cowardly to show how destructive rudy can be if something goes wrong, when that never actually going to happen
