Here’s what allegedly happened at LPU (please read, like, and retweet to force authorities to take action):

- A girl was raped by three local plumbers. There is CCTV footage of the three men entering a room without their tools and coming out after about half an hour.
- These plumbers had been working on campus for a long time. Despite multiple complaints from girls that the plumbers used to stare at them inappropriately, the management refused to replace them.
- A camera inside one of the hostels was found broken.
- When the girl reported the incident to her warden (a woman), instead of supporting her or taking action, the warden blamed the girl’s character, threatened to suspend her scholarship, and said she would be sent home.
- The girl, feeling hopeless and having lost faith in the system, committed suicide.
- The warden is currently absconding.
- LPU is allegedly pressuring girls to say that nothing happened and that the university is completely safe.
- The same warden is also accused of shaming girls for wearing Western clothes and justifying eve-teasing and rape by blaming short clothes.
- When the news spread inside the university, boys took matters into their own hands, started protesting, and damaged some university property to force the management to act.
- Instead of taking action against the accused, Ashok Kumar Mittal and the LPU management called the police, who lathi-charged the protesting students.
- Ashok Kumar Mittal is now using all his influence to suppress this news.
