@FrancescaHongWI If only there was a super simple solution to fix all these problems…
Oh wait there is! @SenatorBaldwin could vote yes on the CR and reopen the government.
@CoffeeBean26 If I’m remembering correctly, that bill wasn’t to resume normal snap funding but instead use emergency funds. The emergency funds aren’t enough to cover everyone. Snap could have been fully funded if the CR was passed.
@SenatorBaldwin Those of us with employer coverage have also seen our premiums increasing because of ACA. A new solution is needed,
Look forward to solving the problem for EVERYONE, which will involve getting rid of the failed ACA.
@SenatorBaldwin It shouldn’t have come to that because you should have signed the CR, and this wouldn’t have happened.
I’m disappointed in all but a couple democrats in the senate. You are better than this.
Do better.
@SenatorBaldwin You continue to gaslight, and as one of your constituents I find it annoying and insulting.
You know what needs to be done… sign the CR. It’s really that simple.
@RepMarkPocan@WisDOJ I’m highly disappointed in this move. Instead of this rigmarole wasting time and money, democrats could simply sign the CR to reopen the govt and restore funding.
@GovEvers@SenatorBaldwin@RepMarkPocan@RepGwenMoore ACA made insurance premiums go up for all of us, granted some will be going up an insane amount. Something needs to be done to solve the high premiums, but ACA credits are not the answer.
We need a new solution. Look ahead, not behind.
@GovEvers Please stop trying to weaponize incompetence.
We know and understand this is a democrat shutdown.
Instead of pointing out issues we need solutions, like @SenatorBaldwin voting yes on the CR to reopen the government.
@SenatorBaldwin I noticed a few typos and fixed it for you: @SenatorBaldwin could feed hungry families if she wanted to. She is CHOOSING not to and instead using them as a bargaining chip.
Come Saturday, when families find out their food stamps have been taken away, they’ll know who to blame.
@SenatorBaldwin@SenatorBaldwin you are also choosing not to fund the program by not signing the CR.
Those are emergency funds and this isn’t an emergency; it’s an avoidable situation. Those funds also wouldn’t cover everyone.
Help constituents.. sign the CR
@BrittCudaback@GovEvers@derrickvanorden He did his job. The bill passed the house and has been shot down 13 times by senate democrats. He can’t vote in the senate if he isn’t a senator.
@RebeccaforWI Isn’t he in the house? They passed the bill to fund… He is stuck till democrats in the senate vote to reopen. Shouldn’t someone running for his position know how the government works?
@GovEvers Republicans are serious and have voted 13 times now to open the government.
It’s time the democrats stopped with their gaslighting, took responsibility, and voted to reopen the government.
@WisDOJ Emergency: a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action
This is not an emergency. It was expected and completely avoidable if @SenatorBaldwin voted to reopen the government.
@SenatorBaldwin@WisDOJ@SenatorBaldwin instead of going through all this rigamarole please just pass the CR and reopen the government.
All this madness is wasting time, money, and is hurting people.
@SenatorBaldwin@SenatorBaldwin The shutdown is hurting families… SNAP benefits delayed, federal workers unpaid. WI needs you fighting for us. Please work across the aisle to reopen the government NOW!
