The hostels are unclean, unhygienic and no protocols what so ever are being observed. And yet university is calling the students to give exams offline with parents' undertaking.
This is a sheer disobedience of Government order and also a total indifference towards students' grievances on the part of VSSUT authorities. The university is playing with not only students' careers but also their lives since the pandemic is still not over.
This is a strict violation of government order because as per govt. order, it is compulsory for the college to provide us with minimum 100 days of proper physical classes in order to take offline exams (even if syllabus has been completed in online mode).
The authorities have organized back-to-back offline exams with no gaps. We will have to give 4 hours exam each day for 5 days straight with no gaps (and no reduction in syllabus), especially in such a situation when we haven't been given a single day of physical classes.
We, the students of VSSUT, BURLA hereby demand ONLY ONLINE EXAMS for the odd semester as we did not get proper offline classes for the odd semester. We totally condemn the decision taken by our college authorities to conduct offline exams.
In such dreadful scenario it's not possible for students to come to college and the parents are worried about sending the students back to their campus too.(3/3)
The college has provided no specifications as such for the isolation process in case a student gets affected by COVID.The isolation wards in Sambalpur lacks space for recently affected patients, and at the same time the tally of affected people is increasing in the district.(2/3)
2 Final year Students of VSSUT, Burla have been tested COVID positive after undergoing a test at VIMSAR, Burla who might have already come in contact with college staffs and other locals (owing to the fact that our college is not a closed campus). (1/3)
Covid negative certificate should be brought is told in universities. Is there any guarantee that no-one will be affected during the journey. If universities and govt are telling that care of students will be taken properly then what is the need of consent of parents
Govt and universities are forcing students for offline classes. But they will not take risk of students. If something happen to any student who will take care of his/her family.
@Naveen_Odisha
Or
@CMO_Odisha
Will take responsibility of their family?
@otvnews@NEWS7Odia
Most importantly, during the pre-covid scenario, the college authorities had failed to provide clear drinking water or ensure sanitized and hygienic washrooms within the college premises. This creates a question as to how secure the students will be when college resumes.(4/4)
First things first, there are no SOPs implemented clearly, as to how the risk of being infected by the virus can be minimised. The halls of residence haven't been sanitized yet, specifically the Pulaha Hall of Residence which still continues to be a quarantine centre. (2/4)
Earlier people want better career for better lifestyle. But now career is more impotant though students die due to 2nd wave of #covid-19. Awesome decision by @CMO_Odisha@Naveen_Odisha . Now we should not think of life of students. Career is more importnt🤣🤣
Once again whole country is raising voice for justice against rape,they forgot that they were also responsible for this.If every citizen will give respect to women then the day will not come when we have to begforjustice.Raise your voice before crime,after crime it is valueless
What is the value of the wish if life of every youth is in danger. @ugc_india made exams compulsory which may cause danger to life of many youth and #covid19 spreading. But you are only wishing us. If you are really thinking of youth then 1st think of life of youth
नमस्कार मेरे युवा साथियों को
World Youth Skill Day की आप सभी नौजवानों को बहुत- बहुत शुभकामनाएं।
आज का ये दिन आपकी skill को, आपके कौशल को समर्पित है: PM @narendramodi
@ugc_india Is saying that all students should attend the exam and after that those whor are now safe become the cause of spreading of the virus. Before taking any decision @ugc_india Should think of student's safety and safety of citizens as students may be spreader after exam
