We keep missing the essence of what’s happening. This isn’t just about music or vibes, it’s political organizing, plain and simple. And we’re losing ground because we’ve forgotten the most basic principle of organizing: connect before you correct. You must first understand who people are, what they believe in, how they live, and what holds meaning in their lives.
You can’t mobilize people you look down on. You can’t build with people you don’t listen to.
Everything we’re seeing is part of a larger design. And it’s no accident that it’s mostly people from the East who are resonating with this. That tells you something about the socio-economic, cultural, and historical context at play. If we’re serious about movement-building, we need to get off social media once in a while and meet people in their real lives. That’s where the work begins.
Ok, as someone who suffers from migraines a lot here is what I’ve discovered.
1. A migraine journal will help you get a better diagnosis in future. Note down the temperature of the day, what you ate/drank and what happened right before you had it.
