I ran into former Kano State Governor and @PeterObi's 2027 running mate, Rabiu Musa @KwankwasoRM, today at the wedding of the daughter of my friend and fellow UNILAG alumnus, Pastor Dan ("DaniBoy") Nwokedi, who was our beloved Sports Secretary at Henry Carr Hall in the early 1990s.
He told me he had heard that the @policeng attacked me with teargas during the June 12 protest in Abuja and that I had collapsed afterward.
While I appreciated his concern, I could not help but wonder why he never publicly condemned the attack.
The continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains an open sore on our nation’s conscience and a stain on our belief in the rule of law.
Defying court orders that granted him bail is an abuse of power and an assault on justice.
I, therefore, lend my voice in full support of the campaign led by @sowore for his immediate release or due prosecution.
We fail as patriots if we allow Kanu’s case to fester as yet another wound this nation refuses to heal.

It is ironic to see Obidients constantly attacking the very coalition and platform giving them political relevance beyond social media enthusiasm. Politics is not sustained by online outrage alone, it is built on structure, alliances, compromise and electoral machinery.
Dear Senator Henry Seriake Dickson @iamHSDickson
While I take my time to properly address your allusion of me not playing by the rules which I consider very disingenuous seeing how I followed the process and even when you had insisted there would be no primaries for senate I let things go and asked my teeming supporters to focus on the bigger picture, I toured the FCT pacifying my supporters and party people who rightfully felt disrespected as they were all waiting at their respective headquarters for primaries that never happened. (I played field politics, I never waited for anyone to give me ticket), I would like you as the National leader to watch this video again!
This part of the interview was so painfully appalling to watch. It looked as if you were insecure and in competition with your Presidential Candidate. Your first one on one interview after primaries and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself.
With all due respect sir, it looks as if you consider the NDC a Special Purpose Vehicle whose aim has been achieved just by being registered instead of a Political Party whose aim is to win the 2027 General election decisively!!!! The registration of NDC should be a means to an end and not an end in itself.
As a leader of a Political party, your number one job in that interview was to pacify aspirants many of whom are rightfully aggrieved and secondly to call on supporters to bear with the party and support it but you ended up antagonising the very people you would need to win election. Every vote counts! A leader must stoop to conquer!
No one can take away your leadership of NDC, no one is interested in that! The focus is on Nigeria is winning the 2027 election!
It looked as if you are fighting a war no one is waging with you. You don't have anything to prove to anyone, just lead! It is also interesting how as a leader i see you shifting the blame with any process that doesn't go well or is called out. Even in this statement below, you did! Take all responsibility! The party is young. It was overwhelmed. Mistakes will be made. Accepting the mistakes and being accountable is how the party will get better.
There is a whole battle ahead of us. Rescuing Nigeria from the current state it is in, should be the main focus not people's fragile ego!
Let me round up with some words from Jim Rohn: IF WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY IS STILL LOOKING BIG TO YOU TODAY, THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH!!!
A foolish man thinks,Dickson, is working as opposition against Tinubu.Aisha, all of you in Obidient don't know anything including Obi. You should ask yourself, why is kwankwanso and his candidates getting something in a party they joined less than a month and Obidient are the one's crying all over the Internet. The only platform that would have work for all of is what you left. Dickson and kwankwanso are brought in to distract Peter Obi. And they have achieved that, Because they all know he's weak. Enjoy
Today, I celebrate my friend and compatriot, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, @raufaregbesola, as he marks his 69th birthday.
Your years of service to our nation, your steadfast commitment to progressive ideals, and your dedication to strengthening democratic values continue to inspire many across Nigeria.
As National Secretary of the ADC, your experience, courage, and sense of duty remain invaluable at this critical moment in our nation’s history. I wish you continued good health, wisdom, and strength in the years ahead.
Happy Birthday, Ogbeni. -AA
Peter and Kwankwaso latest move is just series of activities but will end up without a strong movement. Akin to political suicide.
Peter Obi did not resolve his fundamental issues with major stakeholders (no details), moving as one man show, while Kwankwaso is a person of particular interest by the United States Government.
All these will play out and may consume their energies and relationships with the foreign partner stakeholders of Nigeria.
Again political pragmatism and maturity will play a role from the principal actors.
Tinubu will be more comfortable facing Atiku than any of Obi or Kwankwaso, because there’s a passibility political understanding between the two. Also Atiku will be more preferably to confront Tinubu, because of same level of mindset.
International partners are more interested in political pragmatism, maturity and stability on leadership, than some emotive, overly ambitious desire mask as common sense or humility.
With our huge strategic gas reserves and the world is moving hugely in that direction, Nigeria will be of keen interest to all the major global players, particularly the United States.
International partners would prefer a Tinubu continuity or an Atiku Presidency. Pragmatism and Stability is KEY
The duo of Obi and Rabiu are a possible distraction for one region, in the south and half a state in the north, for both Tinubu and Atiku, respectively.
2019 may represent itself. This time around, as Tinubu vs. Atiku: the two most important refined democrats in Nigeria alive today.
Fingers crossed.

But believe me, @atiku is the most compassionate and most accommodating Politician in the current political structure in Nigeria, On the very day @SenBalaMohammed decide to mend tent with @ADCNig he'll automatically assimilate in to it's larger political family
Five (5) mistakes made by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
• He chased Atiku out of PDP after 2023 election because he wants to control the party.
• Later, his relationship with Wike fall apart after Ibadan illegal convention and Wike hijacked the PDP party from him.
• He go hard against Tinubu government alleged political witch hunt against him and his cabinet.
• He called Sule Lamido on phone and told him that they (PDP Governors) can’t allow him to be PDP’s National Chairman because they can’t control him.
• Now Gov Bala Kaura is in big political crisis, his deal of joining APC fall apart today.
If, APC didn’t accept his demands 😭
He can’t join ADC because he will meet Atiku there 😭
And he can’t stay in PDP because Wike is in full control of the party after court dismissed the Ibadan illegal convention. The entire PDP structure in Bauchi State is under HM Nyesom Wike (PDP National Father).
What advice will you offer to Gov Bala Mohammed?
You are damn right, @OgbeniDipo, BAT is not GEJ and vice versa! Even if you dress a monkey in a 3-piece suit, or a pig in a 3-piece agbada, it will still remain a monkey, or a pig. GEJ was born 20 November, 1957 (68) in Ogbia, Bayelsa State. His parents were Eunice Jonathan and Lawrence Jonathan while his siblings are Meni Jonathan and Nancy Jonathan-Olei. He is not a drug lord, has not forfeited any money linked to narcotics to the US and there's no controversy about his background, parentage and schools he attended. He attended UNIPORT, where he bagged a PhD, and is from Otuoke in Bayelsa State. In fact, he is a classmate to my elder cousin. Tinubu is truly not (and can never be) Jonathan. QED.
