Teachers all agree, remote learning is not as effective as in person learning, thanks for the pointless “research.” Asking for heat doesn’t make someone a lazy dolt. WORK from home. Not stop working.

@donbartalo @CitizenMurphy There have been suburban districts that have had to cancel for days here and there. Not enough staff/bus drivers=school closure/remote. We can’t magically create adults to cover classes and drive buses. 🪄

@meisenstadtsyr @CitizenMurphy They are using the 5 day in Monroe county. It only applies if you are not exhibiting symptoms after that 5 day period. And from what I’m hearing *many* people with COVID right now are symptomatic longer than 5 days.

I had to tell my class we were going remote for 3 days because of lack of healthy staff and bus drivers. There were tears, exclamations, frustration. We talked about their feelings for almost an hour. They’re scared of remote school, they’re sick of COVID. #education +

Kids’ voices are important. Talk about what’s happening with them. Help them feel heard. Remember learning isn’t always books, facts, figures. It is connecting, getting along, working as a team toward a goal. Feeling like you’re part of something. +
