@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia Please be clear. I assume you mean climate science is used by policy makers and politicians to support their agendas. "100%" is nonsense. "Actual science" is science - yes. Consensual, peer-reviewed science is not irrelevant, it may be ignored and mis-used, yes.
@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia But you don't beleive in the best that we have is peer-reviewed scientific consensus on mainly modelling? Unless you're going to do your own evidence-based science and have it peer reviewed of course? I'd love to see it.
@gilltavner @DaleVince@BBCRadio4 Most journalists are jack-of-all-trades and don't have room or time to properly research and take on the argument - they will often follow news trend and in the case of the BBC, conservative views
@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia What you're missing in your replies is any sense of argument other than, 'I don't beleive the majority of people who know more than I do'. It's your right of course
@EliotJacobson Bit vague. Greed/capitalism results in some population accumulating more than others. Greed/capitalism needs large populations to produce stuff to benefit the greedy. Big oil are capatalist and greedy. Overpopulation is when parts of the population begin to stress the greedy
@dalejames77 @bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia Net zero UK? merely a target and a political tool that politicians can squabble about. The quickest answer is, straight away, because there will be less climate forcing, but doubt it'll stop futher warming. So I guess you're partly right PS, Which bit of the IPCC report?
@dalejames77 @bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia Science can't always give immediate answers (or short ones) - modelling predicts, based on past pattern and what's currently measureable. You're asking a question that depends on many variables, but +1.5 C (post pre-industrial already blown (predicted accurately I beleive).
@LBC@NickFerrariLBC@Helen_Whately Why doe she look like she's trying to tell you 'she absolutely didn't do it' and 'I can't understand why you don't beleive me'
@Cockneycabbie_ Brilliant mate, £340 for the tent spot and free accsses to an absolute brilliant time. £12 for a feed that would keep anyone who isn't a lard-bucket happy. £6.50 a pint no worse than anywhere. Brilliant value for one of the best shows on earth
@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia You have to have a certain amount of education to understand the differences and credibility between scientific sources. Consensus between reputable scientists is the best we have. Politics is what you're playing here, but not very well
@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia Plenty agree, plenty don't. Many of the people who don't agree, don't want to know or be reminded about the science, because it challenges their lifestyles - "It'll be alright on the night merchants"
@bjames280961 @lowcarbonbirder @TheFFCommish @JunagarhMedia They're not preventing are they, they're iconveniencing none violently. They have every right to demonstrate aginst everyone who's part of the system that's wrecking the planet.
