This is a core principle in my household!
Maybe I need to call myself a world schooler. We homeschool, but we’re not in a bubble we’re always outside & will travel once conditions allow.
When your family leaves the house each day, the world is going to spend the day depleting their tanks with negativity. When they come back to the house, it's everyone's job in the family to refill one another's tank with love and encouragement.
This is how family is supposed to work.
I’m curious if the kids actually engage with the parents outside of holidays & special events or when they need a favor that don’t engage their children and just leave them bored.
Nowadays they aren’t roaming outside they’re being sucked into the innanet & outside is just not…
There was something special about being a kid when adults didn't feel the need to entertain you every minute of the day.
Your parents could take you somewhere incredibly boring, and you were just expected to deal with it.
The bank. The hardware store. Your mother's friend's house, where you sat on a couch covered in plastic and weren't allowed to touch anything.
Nobody handed you a screen. Nobody worried about whether you were having fun.
You studied the wallpaper. You read the same magazine three times. You stared at the clock and wondered if the second hand had stopped moving.
And if you made the mistake of asking, "Can we go now?" your mother gave you that look.
You know the look.
The one that could end your entire afternoon without a single word being spoken.
I swear, we developed half our imagination simply because our parents refused to entertain us.
Looking back, I think being bored was one of the best things that ever happened to us.
Idk about “lesser” maybe the mirror you’re holding up makes them feel lesser when they see you actually move with solid principles & values and they be on bs.
i hate when people say, "if you fall out with everyone, you're the problem" because when you're neurodivergent, it's like people can sense that you're different and subconsciously view you as "lesser" because of it. then you end up being treated badly, excluded, misunderstood, or taken advantage of and somehow you're still blamed for every friendship falling apart.
parents need to nip that immediately! they are out here asking for bracelets and Coach bags for Valentine’s Day at 14 😭 and this is the pipeline to young girls fucking with pedos instead because “boys my age are broke”.
In the corporate world, everyone at a certain level is a complete psychopath and liar, only out for themselves. It usually starts at middle management (or lower) and increases as you rise. Senior leadership filters for these qualities. Being good, fair, or hardworking doesn't help. You must lie, claim others' success, ignore risks, and offload low-value work. If you don't, someone else will, and you'll never reach higher-paying jobs.
People look at me crazy when I tell them I homeschool too.
I don’t take offense. I know I am making the best choice for my family & that they have limited, skewed perspectives!
I wasn’t out much in public anyways.
I did reflex pull my boob out with a cover to feed my son when he was crying over his paternal side family house. I think they may have been uncomfortable but I wasn’t about to have my baby in there suffering.
Plus I was feeling engorged.
Luckily I never had no one bother me while nursing my baby.
But I would’ve told them to move or I’m calling the police. I’m not absorbing any stress & passing it onto my baby GTFO
Baby the wayyy people villainize breast feeding.
The way they sexualize it is disgusting to me.
I understand the shock, maybe. But to be so disturbed is exposing something about your internal conflicts!
Bc “being black” is tied to mostly unproductive, degenerate bullshit
This affects black boys tremendously because ‘being cool’ gives a sense of belonging
When they see their peers being rewarded, respected & chosen by girls for gangbanging & being disruptive…they follow suit
I don’t even get into petty bs & beefs with women.
Waste of my time & energy.
Their misery won’t get any of my company!
Very much 1 sided beef when it comes to me!
I nip it in the bud & move forward!
