Corner the Kurds, strip them of any real alternative, force them to accept your terms, & then parade the outcome as though they freely chose it.

The Kurds fought and bled to defeat ISIS, only to be forced under the rule of a former al-Qaeda commander.

Will the Kurds ever be afforded a genuine opportunity to exercise their right to self-determination, & finally stop being used as pawns? Unlikely. And that should tell you everything you need to know about the hypocrisy of international powers.
