I spoke today about my team’s exclusion from WMU’s recent athlete academic recognition event. We ARE an athletic team, not a club sport, and we deserve the same treatment, recognition, and respect as other teams. We’re looking for a change.

This is horrendous. I'm embarrassed to be an American right now.

@danbart3 @mayamae95 @SaveWMU Thank you! We really appreciate the positive changes you want to bring, and we’re looking forward to seeing them happen. This isn’t the first time we’ve been treated differently from the other athletes, but I certainly hope it is the last!

[Samantha Phillips @s_renee18]

Congrats to all these athletes! They deserve the recognition! The 22 dance team athletes and many cheer team athletes who got a 3.0 or higher deserved to be recognized too, but instead we were told that we weren’t allowed on the court with the other athletes today… disappointing

At halftime of tonight’s game, nearly 300 Western Michigan student-athletes who recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher in the fall semester will be recognized.

We are SO proud of our student-athletes.

#WMU is planning deep cuts to the TA budget- reducing instructional staff, overworking existing TAs & faculty, and reducing the number of grad students WMU can attract. Join us in calling for admin to stop these cuts & for #SolidarityNotAusterity https://t.co/qt1eA2L8ev

I have so many questions. How does one simply remove a whale statue? Is this WMU’s or students’ doing??

[GabI @saltymexicana1]

The fact that the Whale has been done for a week and people are just now realizing it... wack

I’m excited to see someone who doesn’t actively encourage hateful speech and actions represent our country

[Joe Biden @JoeBiden]

America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.

The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.

I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.

Can we all share our mansplaining experiences?
I’ll start: I asked a guy if his denomination believed in saints bc I’m Catholic and was curious if it’s an across the board belief and he ignored the question and spent 15 min telling me what Catholics believe about saints instead
