I’ve gone back and forth on whether to address this, but after repeatedly seeing Ricky’s old/private pre-debut material and related claims being used to push a very specific narrative across different platforms, I think this is the right time to add some context.

I’m not trying to position myself as a spokesperson for anyone, and I’m definitely not a rumor hotline. Please don’t DM me every new claim you come across or expect me to investigate it. I’m speaking on this because I’ve watched some of these claims emerge, change, and get repackaged as they moved from one platform to another, and I don’t like seeing those information gaps turn into their own version of the story.

I want to be specific about what I’ve actually seen and observed, rather than making broad statements, so I’m going to break this down into a few smaller parts.

I feel mad seeing some people on the cside normalize this behavior and even defend someone who deliberately skipped the other members. They don’t seem to understand kpop fan culture. Hao has plenty of solos but we’ve never heard of this kind of incident at previous group..

It’s completely fine to have bias but if you’re attending group event, you should at least have the basic respect to acknowledge all the members. Being openly rude or dismissive toward the others is unacceptable right? 😕
