After 130 years, a family is finally freed when someone pays off their debt.

Ancestors borrowed money once… their children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren paid price for 130 years, until stranger arrived as saviour.

This is quite common in Pakistan and parts of India. Extremely poor people will sometimes take out a loan from a loan shark that will charge them exorbitant interest rates. Since a lot of these people are illiterate they don’t know what they’re signing up for and can’t understand how, even after paying back so much money they still have enormous liabilities from interest. Some families find themselves in debt throughout their lives and that debt is often passed to their children creating an unending cycle of intergenerational servitude to the debtors. It’s absolutely monstrous that this is allowed. Good on this guys for getting even one family out of it.

Kind of like medieval times, where you had to pay rent for your prison cell.
