We're currently working super hard in order to be able to open up the virtual conference environment (called Whova) for #DMCA2022 next week.
Who's getting excited?
We certainly are 🙃
📢📢🥳🥳
Good news, everyone! Because of a recent increase in demand in our workshops, we have chosen to extend the deadline for #DMCA2022 workshop registrations!
You can still register for the workshop of your choice until ❗️Sep 23, 2022❗️ (a week from now)
With the #DMCA2022 conference program now being online ( https://t.co/86k6PgzQRF ), we would like to remind you that workshop registrations are still possible until ❗️Sep 23❗️

The aim of the panels is to facilitate diversity and to provide a place for researchers from lesser-known and less established communities and institutions as well as for those working on underrepresented languages to showcase their work.

Thinking of submitting a panel to #DMCA2022?
There are limited slots and we will prioritise emerging communities.
If your panel is rejected, you will still be able to submit an abstract for a presentation/poster.
The extended deadline for people with rejected panels is 31 May!
For those $50 ($75 for senior faculty), you get an amazing 4-day event with great keynotes, plenary discussions to advance your academic skill set, and of course some fun and inspirational social events (pub quiz, support groups, etc.) to meet and talk to fellow researchers
We understand that for some, participation remaind difficult. Not everybody as access to funding to attend events.
We offer scholarships for researchers who cannot pay these fees (eg unsalaried researchers, those in LMICs). Please send us an email if this affects you.
We want to make #DMCA2022 as accessible as possible. We have therefore tried to keep registration fees low: $50 for ECRs with $15 additional discount for ISCA members. Participation in workshop is $25.
ECR includes all students and those 3yrs out of PhD.

@citywaterloo The sidewalk itself was fine. It was the wall of snow on the crosswalk at all four corners that was the concern. Is the private owner responsible for crosswalks as well?
