โจReading wrap up July'26โจ
๐ July was all about overcoming my reading slump. I went head on with these phenomenal reads. 7/8 books were ๐, Intermezzo was a let down. Grateful for the reading streak.๐ค
๐ August reads will be dedicated to WIT ๐

๐ These were my reads last year for #WIT#WITmonth
K.R Meera & Geetanjali Shree were powerful, rest were mostly healing fiction. Asako Yuzuki & Baek Sehee somehow didn't work for me. Are any of these in your TBR?
The much awaited Booker Prize 2026 Longlist is here ๐ฅณ To me it looks like a good eclectic mix ๐ฅ
I'm honestly still catching up with the Longlist/Shortlist of 2025 ๐ ๐ My plan is to get to them at my own pace, while I'll be happy to see all the reviews pouring in. ๐ค๐
Just wrapped!!! FLESH was jolting, uncompromisingly bleak & an absolute masterpiece. It offers you an unvarnished look at human passivity & makes you feel the weight of just existing.Such lucid writing!

"Thoroughly unprepared, we take the step into the afternoon of life. What was great in the morning will be little at evening, and what was true in the morning will have become a lie." - Carl Jung, The Stages of Life.
Just read! I may be on the minority on this, but it fell flat for me ๐คทโโ๏ธ I thought grief would be the catalyst, but that sadly faded in the backdrop. The writing style, meandering millennial angst, looping narrative, fragile, emotionally stuck characters...nothing worked!

4 books that follow a single male protagonist from childhood into adulthood as they navigate severe systemic and personal trauma. Each one delivers an incredibly unsparing look at human suffering that can leave you feeling emotionally hollowed out๐
