(2/3). Every year, more than 550 children in the Netherlands develop cancer. Currently, 75% of these children are cured, but sadly, 1 in 4 still die from the disease. KiKa funds research on all forms of childhood cancer with the goal of raising this percentage to 95%.

@niclas_kuper You can always report both analyses right? I actually would not mind seeing both reported in this case, if you preregister both. It limits your degrees of freedom as a researcher right?

@CaAl Op het begin zijn alleen mensen getest die ook in risico gebieden zijn geweest met klachten. Daarna werd de omgeving van patienten selectief gescreend. Nu doen ze steekproeven onder ziekenhuis personeel. De criteria voor wie getest wordt verandert nog constant.

@CaAl Als er elke dag evenveel mensen (uit dezelfde populatie) getest zou worden, dan lijkt me dit erg zinnig. Maar dit is volgens mij elke dag nog anders. Ze zijn nu bv gestopt ook met het testen van familieleden van patienten. Kortom, je kunt niet elke dag systematisch vergelijken.
