$ONDS. Deep dive.
Becoming one of my top swing ideas.
Reminder:
- fourth of july is in <1 month
- america's 250th birthday
- trump talking about drone dominance
- discussions of equity stakes in drone co's
- america250 celebration
Feels like a good time to be long american defense companies...but anyways.
1) eric brock (the ceo) is not a drone founder.
- most drone CEOs are engineers
- eric spent ~20yrs as an institutional investor + port manager
- kinda odd, but
- i believe there's an angle here where $ONDS is almost being treated as a investment vehicle with multiple levers:
- american robotics, airobotics, iron drone, etc
- with the goal of being anduril-type of platform with more of a robotics flair
2) anduril IPO run-up = catalyst
- look at what spaceX ipo did to $rklb, $asts, $pl
- even half of that would re-price $onds completely
3) america's push for "drone dominance"
- $onds is currently the best pure-play public way to invest in drone dominance imo
- hegseth + trump explicitly talking about drones
4) gov't in talks to fund drone companies
- remember $intc + others?
- think could be a massive tailwind for the theme
- this is a recent development too
5) ties to israel
- airobotics (onds owned company) operates in israel
- israel = one of the world’s largest real-world drone testing environments
- having exposure to an israeli autonomy company could end up being a bigger advantage than investors anticipate
6) partnership with $pltr
- for "drones and robotics"
- expanded partnership in march '26
- $onds can catch a thematic double whammy from drones + robotics
- two of my top emerging themes
7) six acquisitions in the past ~12 months
- roboteam, sentrycs, 4m, world view, mistral, omnisys
- key...they are NOT just buying drones companies
- they're building the full autonomous warfare stack
- air, ground, robotics, comms, detection
8) multiple bullish points aligning
- chart = been coiling + setting up for over a year
- has the story + narrative
- fundamentals improving
- great catalysts
$ONDS is currently trading at $10.24.
If you want exposure to memory, $DRAM is a great ETF.
1. $MU - 24.63%
2. Samsung - 24.11%
3. SK Hynix - 23.08%
4. $SNDK - 4.9%
5. Kioxia - 4.86%
6. $WDC - 4.77%
7. Nanya - 3.89%
8. Winbond - 2.4%
SK Hynix is sold out of HBM, DRAM, and NAND for 2026. Micron has exited consumer memory entirely — and even with that focus, can only meet ~67% of medium-term AI customer demand. You are not bullish enough
