DUTERTE OFFICE SEEKS ₱51M FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES IN 2027
WATCH: The Office of the Vice President is seeking ₱51 million for travel expenses next year.
The OVP says it had a ₱56-million travel budget in 2025, spending ₱12.9 million on foreign travel and ₱32.5 million on local travel.
The office reported that the expenses cover travel by personnel and some security staff, including trips to implement programs in remote areas and last-mile schools. | @TristanNodalo
Atty Tolosa was, in effect, saying that Chief of Staff ka ng DepEd secretary, pinirmahan mo yung liquidation report about the use of confidential funds, at ikaw ay ISANG ABOGADO, tapos sasabihin mong WALA KANG ALAM about where the money was actually spent? Ano ang tawag sa iyo, kung ganun? Eh di “ABOGADONG WALANG ALAM!” That’s not being disrespectful. Again, that’s “calling a spade a spade.”
‘WALA NAMANG NAGTATAGO NG KATOTOHANAN DITO’
Nanindigan si Atty. Michael Poa na nakatupad ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa joint circular tungkol sa pagbibigay ng pabuya sa mga impormante, kaya naman walang findings ang Commission on Audit (COA) na magsasabing walang permiso ng kalihim ng kagawaran—si Vice President Sara Duterte—ang pagbabayad sa mga informants.
“If you’re position is your compliant, then your position is that the Vice President approved the payment of the rewards to each of these informers, correct?” tanong ni private prosecutor Atty. Benjamin Tolosa Jr. kay Poa.
“There was no finding, so correct, because there was no finding from COA,” sagot ni Poa, tumayong chief of staff ng DepEd sa ilalim ni VP Sara, at dati ring tagapagsalita ng Bise Presidente.

Watched the replay. And I can't seem to find the sense na CHIEF OF STAFF ka but you do not know a lot of things in the office?
I have been a COS for almost a year, and lahat ng documents bago pirmahan ng boss namin, dumadaan sa akin. Why? I need to check it thoroughly - technicalities, attachments and most of all legal bases.
Ultimo sobrang space in between words, nakikita namin yan. That's how thorough we are bago pa malagay yan sa desk ni boss for his approval or disapproval or even for his notes.
So how come, na COS ka at HOPE pa, na di mo alam kung saan-saan ginamit ang confidential funds? Moreso na lawyer ka?
As COS na lawyer, Dapat nilalamon mo ang lahat ng legal bases at carefully understood on plain sight ang stipulations ng JC, JMC, MC, RA and all.
Nakakadismaya na a lawyer like Atty. Michael Poa knows nothing on how the confidential funds were used. How the JC on SDOs is interpreted and why ARs alone is not enough to justify.
Nakakatakot yung mga sagot na "i have no personal knowledge" "I don't know" - HINDI BA SILA NAIINSULTO NA ISA SILA SA HIGHEST POSITION OFFICIAL in the office yet they are not involved nor consulted on matters as sensitive as Confidential Funds? It is a silent show of non-confidence of their principal to them? Walang tiwala sa kanila ang boss nila?
But with Atty. Poa answering these questions with their standard replies, I guess it cemented the point of the prosecution na VP Sara is the mastermind of everything, all else are stupid dummies from prestigious schools with big salaries, high government officials of national offices.
Sayang ang pera ng taumbayan pampasahod sa mga walang alam at walang pakialam.

The public saw another side of Jay Tolosa in his impeachment court debut. It was a departure from his usual soft-spoken self in media interviews as spokesman of the prosecution. #InsideTrack https://t.co/kfwWpqZ3c8
For several days, I was trying to find an adjective to describe a colleague. A few minutes ago, somebody shared the word: PECKSNIFFIAN - smugly moralistic; someone who makes a show of being virtuous and holy while actually being pharisaical, self-serving, or sanctimonious.
Mr MVP looking cool looking good. When you’re on the right side of history. Compared to those who still continue to defend lies, corruption and robbery of government.
Lawyer Benjamin “Jay” Tolosa Jr. is one of the private lawyers assisting the House prosecution panel in Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial. He also serves as the prosecution team’s spokesperson.
On Day 21, Tolosa leads the direct examination of Michael Poa, a Duterte defense counsel and former Department of Education (DepEd) chief of staff, who was called by the prosecution to testify on Article I. #VPonTrial
