Just to clarify, because everyone now seems VERY confused:
Taylor Farms de Mexico has still been implicated in this cyclospora outbreak. The recall of shredded iceberg lettuce from last week still stands.
The false positive test was on lettuce coming over the border from Mexico that was NOT part of the recall. If that positive had been accurate, it would have meant *more* lettuce needed to be recalled.
In foodborne illness outbreaks *we often do not ever get positive tests to tie product to illness* especially for highly perishable products like lettuce. It's common to rely on other epidemiological evidence, as FDA and CDC are doing here.
Prediction: This is a public health communications nightmare that will be studied for a long time.
As a fan, I am obviously overjoyed that Balogun will get to play and that this injustice was corrected. But man does this look awful for FIFA and it will make the rest of the world feel like the tournament was rigged.
i’m just gonna say it: some of yall aren’t qualified for self checkout. if you don’t have an internal sense of urgency and fine motor skills, leave it to the professionals cause the rest of us are trying to keep it pushin
A dude who was the main target on a multiple Super Bowl winning team and is in GOAT TE discussions in America’s most popular sport couldn’t even break containment. Lots of sports fans are delusional about how popular these athletes really are
