Anthropic is training its next Claude on SpaceX’s Colossus 1 Supercomputer. It contains 220,000 Nvidia H100/H200/GB200 GPUs and requires 300 MW of power to run. That’s enough electricity to run a medium-sized city. #ai
Pakistan borrows billions, but instead of building exports and industry, the money vanishes into commission-driven mega projects. After a few years, the country returns to the IMF while the elite stash wealth offshore.
@ark_r@SrMikeProvlone@ayesha_fatiima What I said was just an example. There are many other reasons as well. For example, you can not convince an illustration artist to dump Adobe Suite and start using inkscape and gimp.
@_LunarBird_@SrMikeProvlone@ayesha_fatiima I use Linux myself and love it, despite the fact that my machine has a built-in Windows product key. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect for every use case. There is always room for improvement.

@_LunarBird_@SrMikeProvlone@ayesha_fatiima Yes, but the only problem here is "Now." Because windows was able to achieve that functionality decades ago and now has the largest desktop user base in the world.
@JonRickSanchez@SrMikeProvlone@ayesha_fatiima Lol, you seem to think everybody on the planet is a tech nerd. But the market dont work on delusions. There is a reason Windows has been the largest desktop operating system in terms of marketshare for 3 decades now.
@SrMikeProvlone@ayesha_fatiima What I was trying to say is you gotta be slightly more into tech to make things work on linux. One example is the swap partition setup, which is manual in linux and automatic in Windows.
This GitHub incident is insane. My merge queue batch contained multiple PRs, the resulting merge commit was wrong. It dropped changes from earlier PRs. #github
