Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has yet again earned my profound respect and admiration.
Hauwa Yusuf (Ummi), 31, has lived with a very rare illness called muscular dystrophy, for 18 years. Despite this, she studied law at BUK. She can hardly walk unaided today.
Ummi is from a low-income family. Her illness is, unfortunately, so far incurable, but is manageable, with early treatment, according to medical professionals.
I have known of her case for two years. I even posted about her complex medical condition without mentioning her name. To say the least, her story is heartbreaking.
She told me that Allen Onyema, the Air Peace CEO, once paid for her short medical trip to India. Unfortunately, for some reason, she has been left to atrophy...until she met Governor Abba last night (18.05.2025).
I have done everything to see that she got help via Haj. Fauziyya D. Sulaiman. Somehow, Ummi got Governor Abba's number and sent him a text. He responded!
To cut a long story short, Governor Abba has now promised to do everything a father would do for a daughter to her. He has "adopted" her. Subhanallahi!
May Allah make it easy for Ummi and reward Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf handsomely, amin.
Allah ya sa mu gama lafiya, amin.
Muhsin
To be a Muslim is an actual flex🥹
- You fall sick, your sins are erased
- You smile, you get rewarded
- You sneeze, you get rewarded
- You pass Salam, you get rewarded.
-You sin a million times, you get forgiven a million times
Alhmdulillah.
