Then he said, Shall I teach you a thing which is better than what you have asked me? When you go to bed, say, 'Allahu-Akbar' 34 times, 'Subhan Allah' 33 times and 'Al-Hamdu li-Allah' 33 times for that is better for you both than a servant.

Du'aa of Ibrahim (AS) — For Wisdom and
Good Company
رَبّ هَبَ لِى حَلمَا وَاعِقِنِي بالصَايحِينَ
My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with
the righteous. (26:83)
A Prophet of Allah still felt the need to ask for wisdom and good company. He didn't assume those things would just come to him. He asked.
That tells you how much we should be asking for them ourselves.
