some friday night ideas 1) just like smoking companies had to pay for anti-smoking ads, social media companies should have to pay for go-do-things-IRL ads (1/x)
let them all put a few bucks down to repair the social fabric they ripped into. and it’s not about punishment, it’s about how we all work together to create a world we want to live in (6/x)
5) all the delivery apps, whoever makes self checkout counters or the bots that answer customer service calls - it’s cool, i get it, you were just trying to make things “frictionless” for us busy worker bees (see #2)- but let’s see you spend some $ to fight social isolation (5/x)
4) dating app companies - you aren’t off the hook either. we know exactly what you did and what you need to do, too. (@hinge you’re ahead of the curve with the “One More Hour” fund.) (4/x)
nyc, i want you to host more this spring. giving away five $200 tiny grants to new yorkers with an idea for a gathering. lmk if you’re applying! https://t.co/iEYDVqmB4p
@DavidNebinski@erica_wenger i agree! with 6-8 people it can stay as one convo the whole time. sometimes i like to do 10 to mix it up but then i expect it to splinter off at some point so i make sure we’re moving seats/rooms so people aren’t stuck in the same convo too long
normal person: i have an appointment in 10 min and it’s a 10 min walk so i’ll leave now
me: i have an appointment in 10 min and it’s a 10 min walk so i’ll sit here and do nothing for 4 min and then run / walk superrr fast and arrive stressed and breathless 👌
