Today is 20th death anniversary of Nobel-winning Polish poet, translator and writer Czeslaw Miloz. I'm reading his 'Native Realm'. I am honoured that most likely I will be staying in his residence at Krasnogruda for a writer's residency this autumn.

Thrilled that The Cliffhangers has been included in University of Kerala's syllabus for BA English (Malayali Voices in English; Sem V). The Cliffhangers, set in Varkala and the Cliff, has already been translated into Malayalam and Polish.

When I was invited by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, to promote the Polish translation of my novel The Cliffhangers, I was not sure if ncould get my visa on time. I'm supposed to be in Poznan on March 6 and the VFS visa appointment was March 15.

I thought I couldn't make it. But, thanks to the intervention of Amb. Ajay Bissaria who spoke to the Polish Ambassador, and Magdalena of Polish Institute who spoke to CG in Mumbai, my application was fast tracked and I got the visa yesterday. Want to thank Ambassador Bissaria,
